Nearby, there is the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary where you can get upclose to pachyderms to feed, bathe and ride safely. Elephants here are rehabilitated after being collected from farmlands where they are seen as a threat, have been injured or lost from their herd. This is a fantastic destination for adults and children to bond. We have taken orphanages here together with corporates and they absolutely loved it. There is also an orang asli village and deer park which is aptly called Deerland Park. At this park there are 2 sun bears, indonesian deers, ostriches, wild fowls, macaque monkeys, peacock and possibly new additions by the time you read this.
